Swede Burns’ Cardioprotective and Longevity Regimen

Rather than continuing to list my current cardio-protection and aging supplement regimen every time someone asks on my Q&A’s, I figured I’d put up this article as a resource for you all to give some critical thought. Always do your own research, this is not a recommendation or medical advice. I will continue to update this article, as necessary, whenever I make changes.

Here we go.

NMN (750-1000mg split into 2 doses)

I take NMN as it’s a precursor to NAD+, essential for cellular energy and health. I believe it helps combat age-related decline and supports overall vitality.

100g NMN in resealable bag

TMG (1000mg)

I include TMG for its role as a methyl donor, which is crucial in converting NMN into NAD+. This process supports cellular functions and DNA repair, and it’s also important for cardiovascular health by balancing homocysteine levels.

Trans-Resveratrol with Bioperine (500mg)

I use trans-resveratrol for its potential anti-aging and anti-inflammatory effects. The addition of Bioperine enhances its bioavailability. I also value the synergy between NMN and resveratrol, as they work together to support healthy aging. I can get into how that works later. There is enough for a full article on just this topic.

Multivitamin

A daily multivitamin is foundational for ensuring I get a broad spectrum of essential vitamins and minerals.

Citrus Bergamot (1200mg split in 2 doses)

I take citrus bergamot primarily for its potential to support healthy cholesterol levels. (Ahem)

Ubiquinol (200mg)

Ubiquinol, the active form of CoQ10, is a big part of my protection plan for heart health and mitochondrial energy production, especially as natural levels decline with age.

PQQ (40mg)

PQQ is believed to aid in the growth of new mitochondria and support their function, which is vital for energy production. I find it essential for maintaining my cellular health.

WILEY’S Peak EPA/DHA (1 per day)

This omega-3 supplement is key for heart, brain, and joint health. I’ve noticed it helps with inflammation and supports my cognitive function. I’ve found it particularly helpful in managing triglycerides, as well, which I am always harping on about.

Nattokinase (8000 FU split in 2 doses)

I use nattokinase for its potential to improve blood flow and reduce the risk of blood clots (which seem more common than ever *cough*), contributing to overall cardiovascular health. It’s worth mentioning there is a study comparing nattokinase with a statin drug (specifically simvastatin) for plaque reduction which is very interesting. In this clinical trial, patients were assigned to either a nattokinase group, receiving a daily dose of 6000 FU, or a statin group, treated with 20 mg of simvastatin daily. The study lasted 26 weeks and involved evaluating changes in common carotid artery intima-media thickness (CCA-IMT) and carotid plaque size.

The results showed a significant reduction in both CCA-IMT and carotid plaque size in both groups compared to their baseline measurements before treatment. Notably, the reduction in the nattokinase group was particularly significant, showing a 36.6% reduction in plaque size versus an 11.5% change in the statin group. That’s over 3x the plaque reduction as the statin. This study suggests that nattokinase could have a substantial impact on atherosclerotic plaque reduction, though it’s important to note that more research is needed to fully understand and confirm these findings.

Serrapeptase (120,000 SPU)

I take serrapeptase for its anti-inflammatory properties and its potential to aid in pain reduction and blood flow improvement. It also seems to work synergistically with nattokinase against those pesky clots everyone is dying from.

Alpha-GPC (300mcg)

Alpha-GPC supports my cognitive function and memory, and I believe it also enhances my physical performance. Great source of choline, which for Moda users is a must.

Vitamin K2 MK7 (300mcg)

K2 is crucial for directing calcium to my bones and away from arteries, supporting both bone and cardiovascular health.

NAC (2g split in 2 doses)

N-Acetyl Cysteine is an antioxidant that I use to support liver health and detoxification. It’s also beneficial for respiratory health.

Zinc (50mg)

Zinc is a staple for immune function and overall cellular health.

Vitamin D3 (5000 IU)

I take Vitamin D3 for its essential role in bone health, immune function, and mood regulation.

CBD Isolate (150-300mg/day)

CBD is part of my regimen for its potential cardiovascular protection and anti-inflammatory effects. It also helps me manage pain. Many clients report it also helps them with anxiety.

9000mg CBD per bottle

Tadalafil (20mg)

I use tadalafil for its benefits in cardiovascular health and improving blood flow. I believe it also offers kidney protection when used consistently.

Magnesium Lysinate Glycinate Chelate (2g in the morning)

This form of magnesium is important for my muscle and nerve function, sleep quality, and stress management.

Magnesium Threonate (2g before bed)

I take this at night for its potential to improve brain health and cognitive function. Prepare for wild dreams.

Folate (15 mg L-Methylfolate)

I include methylfolate for DNA synthesis and repair, and it’s also beneficial for mood and cognitive function. It also seems particularly helpful for blood pressure management.

Vitamin B12 (as methylcobalamin, 1000mcg)

Vitamin B12 is vital for nerve health, energy production, and DNA synthesis.

As you can see, I like to keep it simple. All jokes aside, considering my size and background in contrast with my blood pressure and blood work, it’s clearly doing something. Again, this is what I do—it’s not a recommendation of any kind. I’m happy to handle follow up questions in any of my Q&A’s.
